Made in USA. The Angelus Leather Paint Basics Kit is designed for customizing and restoring leather products like shoes, bags, jackets, and more.

Included in this kit:

  • 5x 1oz. Acrylic Leather Paints
  • 5x assorted paintbrushes
  • 1x 1oz. Leather Preparer & Deglazer

Clear instructions are available on product.

HOW TO USE:
1. Prepare the Leather:
Clean the Surface: Use the Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer to remove any existing finish, dirt, or oils from the leather. Apply it with a cloth or cotton ball, wiping the surface thoroughly. This step is crucial for ensuring the paint adheres well to the leather.

Tape Off Areas: If there are areas you don't want to paint, use painter's tape to mask them off.

2. Plan Your Design:
Sketch out your design on paper first if you're doing a custom design. Decide on the colors and the order in which you'll apply them.

3. Start Painting:
First Coat: Dip your paintbrush into the desired color and apply a thin, even coat to the leather. Use smooth, consistent strokes.

Drying: Allow the first coat to dry for about 15-30 minutes. The drying time can vary depending on the environment.

Additional Coats: Apply additional thin coats as needed to achieve the desired opacity and color. It’s better to apply multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat to avoid cracking.

4. Detail Work:
Use smaller brushes for fine details or edges. You can also mix colors from the kit to create custom shades. After the final coat, let the paint dry for at least 24 hours. Ensure the painted item is in a dust-free environment to prevent particles from sticking to the wet paint.

5. Apply a Finisher (Optional):
For added protection and a specific sheen, you can apply an Angelus Acrylic Finisher after the paint is completely dry. This will seal your work and provide a matte, satin, or glossy finish, depending on your preference.

6. Remove Tape:
Once everything is dry, carefully remove any painter's tape used to mask off areas.
